Committees

Thank you for making a difference!  AzLTA committees meet 2-4 times per year (unless otherwise agreed upon).  Participation via conference call is available for participants out of the metro Phoenix area.  We understand your time is valuable and we will make the most of your volunteer commitment.

Education
Work with staff to coordinate educational programs and efforts throughout state.  Serves as the liaison with the Arizona Hotel Foundation to ensure achievement of financial and scholarship goals.  Oversee member/school partner program and education efforts for our own team/industry.

Marketing & Events
Assists with the promotion of association marketing opportunities as well as the planning and execution of association events including the Tourism Unity Dinner, Governor’s Conference on Tourism, AZ Wine & Dine, Stars of the Industry and other AzLTA events and programs.

Governmental Affairs/PAC
Works with AzLTA lobbyist and staff to monitor, amend, initiate or oppose council or legislative action, regulatory rulings and other activity at local, state or national level.  Will also oversee coordination of Tourism LOCAL (Legislative or Community Action Liaison).

Membership
Works with the AzLTA team to increase membership as well as enhance, review, and develop membership programs.  Establish and review opportunities for member benefits and corporate partner program.

Industry Relations
Works to solidify AzLTA’s role as an active and influential stakeholder in the tourism industry. Working in partnership with the Arizona Office of Tourism, local convention and visitors bureaus and other industry organizations, helps to communicate the positive aspects and benefits of the tourism industry to media and the general public.
