AzHLA and ATA Merge to Become AzLTA
After unanimous votes by the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association and the Arizona Tourism Alliance Boards of Directors, both organizations have merged into the Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association (AzLTA).
This new organization provides our industry an opportunity to speak from one unified voice on issues pertaining to lodging and tourism in Arizona and combines both organizations’ memberships to broaden the reach and scope of our message. Members will not notice a significant change to the Association’s daily operations, however all staff emails have changed and the website has changed to www.AzLTA.com. If you were a Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association or Arizona Tourism Alliance member your membership has automatically been transferred to the new Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association. To those companies that have not remitted payment, please do so by January 31, 2012.

AzCentral Survey Questions Tourism Funding A survey conducted by the Arizona Republic’s website, azcentral.com, is asking readers how the state should allocate budget surplus funds and lists tourism funding as one of the options. Currently the voting is leaning towards not supporting tourism, so we need our members to participate in this survey and vote in favor of funding the Arizona Office of Tourism. While this is not a scientific survey, it definitely impacts the perception of the importance and support of tourism funding to the Legislature and the Governor’s Office so vote, vote and vote again!
